Mediocre tiny overcrowded, loud Beach, it's a scam because at the entrance they search your luggage and take away your water. You have to pay 200 Baht entrance fee and nothing is included - no sun beds, no pool, no drinks. Everything is overpriced. Total robbery. Plus: Life dangerous Jet Ski drivers, loud and driving near swimmers and children - almost killing them. Snorkeling not possible due to turbid water. Jellyfish everywhere. Avoid the visit to Paradise Beach by all means!

Paradise Beach in Phuket (occasionally referred to as ‘Parsadise Beach’ in some sources) consists of two small coves, where waves are almost nonexistent (thanks to its geographical position), and there’s plenty of shade in the afternoon.

The scenery looks even more interesting from the sea

With a total length of approximately 200 meters and a width of around 30 meters, the beach offers an intimate atmosphere despite its popularity. The two coves differ noticeably: the first features coarser, grayer sand and attracts more visitors—likely due to its proximity to the bar and music—while the second boasts finer, whiter sand and a more relaxed vibe.

The beaches are divided by a rocky outcrop; you can reach the second cove via a specially installed stairway.

Path between the two beaches

By climbing these stairs, you get a magnificent view of the bay—definitely worth a few photos or a video.

Sea panorama

Entrance is 200 THB per person. Paradise Beach is famous for its Full Moon parties, which last all night and are essentially beach raves. On these days, the entrance fee is 1500 THB. (Sometimes promotions may change the price.)

Entering the Water and the Shore

As mentioned before, the shore at the first cove is less pleasant than the second due to scattered fragments of reefs and rocks that can cause foot injuries.

Stones at the water’s edge

The water itself also contains bits of coral and rocky debris, so it’s better to wear water shoes. The slope into the sea is gentle and the water is clear.

A path along the sea

Palm and leafy trees grow close to the water, so floating plant debris is common.

Low tides here are quite noticeable (unlike Karon, where they’re hardly visible). When the tide is out, many sharp rocks emerge in the shallows, posing an additional risk. We do not particularly recommend this beach for families with children, as it may be uncomfortable for them.

View from above

Because of the beach’s compact size and the large crowds, simply relaxing might be challenging. Despite some negatives, reviews of Paradise are generally good (since most visitors here are young people, they’re willing to put up with certain inconveniences in exchange for good music, stunning views, and a fun vibe).

Bar

Snorkeling is great here, as there are plenty of fish, and none of them are dangerous.

Infrastructure

Despite its small size, Paradise Beach has everything you need for a comfortable visit, including:

  • Sun loungers and umbrellas
  • A bar
  • A restaurant
  • Free freshwater showers
  • Restrooms
  • Covered massage areas
  • A dance floor for parties

Infrastructure

Let’s go through them in order: sun loungers and umbrellas are really only necessary in the first half of the day, since after lunch the sun goes behind the cliffs, and the beach is mostly in shade.

Sun loungers view

There are three types of sun loungers:

  1. Standard – 100 THB
  2. VIP – 300 THB
  3. Sun lounger-bed – 500 THB

As for food and drink, there are basically two venues, and prices can be quite high (that’s the main source of income here). Don’t assume you can bring your own meals: it’s strictly forbidden, and staff will ask you to surrender any outside food at the entrance. Bags may also be checked (they are returned when you leave).

Food on the beach

Sample prices at the beach:

  1. Soda – 70 THB
  2. Energy drink – 150 THB
  3. Coconut – 120 THB
  4. Freshly squeezed juice – 80 THB
  5. Smoothie – 150 THB
  6. Americano – 80 THB
  7. Beer – from 100 THB
  8. Cocktails – from 250 THB
  9. Bottled water (500 ml) – 50 THB

The standout feature of Paradise Beach is the free freshwater showers. There are three shower stations:

  • At the entrance
  • Under the cliff on the right side
  • Between the first and second coves on the pathway

The restroom is located in the restaurant, and entry has traditionally been free (at least in the past).

Restroom area

If your main goal isn’t sunbathing but taking interesting photos, there are two special photo spots:

  1. A swing with a view of the bay
  2. A rope swing (Tarzan-style)

Swing

Be aware that many people know about these spots, and occasionally you’ll see a queue for that perfect shot.

Paradise Beach also offers:

  1. Snorkeling gear (150–200 THB)
  2. Stand-up paddleboards (200–300 THB)
  3. Kayak rentals (200 THB for 30 min, 300 THB for 1 hour)

You can also rent a life vest for 100–150 THB per hour.

Accommodation

Because Paradise Beach is nestled between cliffs, there are no hotels along the first line. The nearest hotels are about a kilometer away, such as:

  • Crest Resort and Pool Villas
  • Avista Hideway Phuket Patong
  • Lets Phuket Twin Sands Resort and SPA
  • Tri Trang Beach Resort
  • At Zea Hotel Phuket

By the way, Crest Resort and Pool Villas provides free shuttle service to the beach. With that, you also get free entrance, two complimentary cocktails, and a standard sun lounger. Of course, staying at that hotel doesn’t come cheap (rooms start at about 5,500 THB per night, and a villa costs even more).

You can also pick a suitable hotel on the map:

How to Get There

You can reach Paradise Beach for free not only from Crest Resort and Pool Villas but also from the popular Patong Beach, where a free shuttle bus runs. You can catch it on Bangla Road or along the seafront, then it turns onto the second street near the Big C store. The bus runs every 30 minutes from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Bus schedule

If public transport isn’t your style, consider a taxi. For instance, a ride from Patong or Karon costs 300–400 THB. You can also take a tuk-tuk for the same price.

The most exotic way to get there might be by sea. Unfortunately, passenger water taxis don’t normally stop at Paradise Beach, but you can rent a small watercraft on your own (around 500 THB per day) and arrive yourself. (We haven’t tested this option, and how the staff would react is unclear. If you’ve tried it, share your experience in the comments.) It’s quite a distance from Patong to Paradise by water, but it could be an adventure.

By kayak

If you decide to drive a rented motorbike or car, note that the road is quite winding and goes high up.

All in all, Paradise Beach truly is a little slice of paradise near bustling Phuket. Though it does have its drawbacks, this beach is sure to leave a lasting impression. Have a wonderful trip, and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments.
