Clean beach and water. It’s really chill and safe for kids to play around. We spent on this beach for few days, it’s was a nice experience.

We stayed in the Mercure Hotel on the beach for 5 nights. The setting is rather nice, essentially it is a large crescent shaped beach. The waves are a bit too turbulent for adults to swim in or have young children dip in. We (three adults) just dipped in for 20 mins. at a time to cool off. The water is actually warm. There are no life guards or flags (for swimming safety conditions) that you might see in western Europe or the USA as far as I could see. There were a number of jet skis too on the water, way off shore. I noticed that very few people were about at sunrise, so I took it among myself to shoot some sunrise photos.

Great beach. Huge waves today. Not a lot of public access. Also, so many people selling stuff...you cannot relax.

The best beach we visited while staying on Samui Island. Fine sand clear water lots of bars and restaurants and a all round good vibes. Definitely worth a visit.

Gorgeous beach with plenty of space so never felt crowded, lots of choices of bars and restaurants but also stretches of just sand and sea to enjoy - also much cleaner than some of the other beaches visited on the island

Beautiful and clean beach. Strong waves at times. Good restaurants on the beach to stop at and have a fresh coconut or even use their beach chairs. Most just require that you are a customer. Not crowded at all and would reccomend over chaweng.

Lamai Beach in Koh Samui is a great destination that offers a mix of natural beauty, relaxation, and vibrant local culture. The beach would be nice if it wasn’t full of trash. I say large pieces of glass in the sand and even a syringe!!!

Stunning location. I stayed in a beach front resort in the area. Like many places in SE Asia, plastic and debris washes into the shore. Rather than complain about it, pick it up and collect plastics from the water for the sake of the turtles and other sea creatures.

Good sized beach. Perfect for a barefoot sunrise walk and swim. There are plenty of places to stop and grab a coffee or some food. You can even rent jetskis or Stand Up paddle boards. Beach is pretty quiet. Was surprised how clean it is as well.

Bophut beach is located on the north of the island. It is a 3km long nice crescent-shaped beach. Do not expect a crystal water with white sand on that part of the island. Water visibility is not more than 40cm, otherwise the view on Koh Phangan is nice. Beach is quiet compared to the busy Chaweng Beach. Left part (North-west) of the beach is not really good for swimming as the bottom is muddy and there are many tour boats. Some good hotels on that beach with direct access to the popular Fishermans Village (marketing name) which was called Bophut Village till late 2010 ... plenty of international and thai restaurants and shops.

Really pretty quiet beach. Lovely bars and restaurants. We saw very few people , off the beaten track so involved some effort to get there , but well worth it .

Beautiful, super quiet beach lined with palm trees. Best vibes! The water is also nice to swim in, a little bit cloudy but still clear and nice colour (if it was crystal clear I'd give a 5 star). Cooler in the mornings but still nice for a dip in the day and arvo. Beautiful views of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao also. Great place to stay for accommodation also away from the hustle and bustle!

Probably most of it is rather clean and cared for since sections of the beach are being maintained by the adjacent hotels. The sections that are being vacant, further down the beach close to the Lomprayah pier, are a complete nightmare. There’s trash everywhere. Nobody feels responsible because the hotel owners don’t look right or left. Also there’s plastic glitter everywhere, probably from New Year’s. I am baffled how you could use glitter when you’re next to the sea and the majority ends up in water. It’s quite cynical when you’re at the pier and there’s banners asking for eco-friendly packaging due to trash. And then the whole beach looks like the pics attached. I think we might have seen a few people doing an effort cleaning up but if it wasn’t for the tourists, there wouldn’t be clean beaches at all.

So peaceful here.. loved it! Less tourist.. take your beach towel and choose a spot/resort to stay..chill and enjoy 🏖️

There's no doubt that this is the quietest main beach on Samui. There is no person in sight at all, other than a couple of guys bringing out their dogs out for a walk. The sand is a little more on the coarser side, so it may not be the most comfortable to lie on, although there are hotels and resorts where one can stay along to relax without getting sandy. The beach is relatively clean but it can get narrow at certain stretches, so abit too near to the waves to lie down. You'll have to bring your own mat cause there are none laid down by any accommodation on the sandy beach. Although very beautiful, one will feel a bit solitary lying there alone, unless you're specifically looking for something like that. There is nary a pub, cafe or drinking place on the stretch, so that contributes to the quietude you'll definitely get when you're around.

Perfect Review for Silver Beach Resort Our stay at Silver Beach Resort was truly delightful, and we are excited to share our experience. Positives: The staff were exceptionally polite and incredibly accommodating. The receptionist made our stay unforgettable with their helpful advice and top-notch service. The team at the bar and service staff ensured we were always well taken care of. The rooms were spotless, with daily housekeeping keeping everything in perfect order. Breakfast was included in the price, and we could choose between American, English, or Asian options. The quality was outstanding, with fresh and delicious ingredients that left us completely satisfied. Although we didn't try the lunch and snack options, the menu looked promising, offering dishes like burgers, club sandwiches, and salads. The bar remained open until late afternoon, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. While the reception isn't open 24/7, a kind and helpful night guard was available for late check-ins, which we appreciated. The pool, though small, is situated right in front of the beach, creating a serene and picturesque setting. There's also a massage area nearby for added relaxation. The beach itself is beautiful, but during our stay, it had constant waves, making swimming impossible. We were told this is unusual for December. The resort also offers scooter rentals at very reasonable prices, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Rooms: The resort features rooms scattered along the beachfront, with a charming garden and pathways in the middle. Rooms closer to the road are more budget-friendly, while those near the beach appear to offer more comfort. We booked the last available room at the time, located midway between the beach and the road. While the room was clean, equipped with air conditioning, a spacious bathroom, and all basic amenities, it could benefit from aesthetic improvements. Small, cost-effective upgrades like bedside tables, reading lamps (as the overhead light was too harsh), a toothbrush holder, bedside outlets, and better-quality mattresses would make a significant difference. Other rooms in the front looked so much better inside. Like the ones you see in photos online. Additionally, some maintenance of the building (at least in our room) is needed in the near future. Outside each room, there's a small terrace with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying the garden view. Overall Experience: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this resort again. Next time, we’d likely opt for a room closer to the beach for more comfort and less road noise. The beach is fantastic and the most beautiful part of the island, would recommend anyone to visit there. We came to the hotel late at night so there wasn't much service, but the owner and the security man showed us our room which was very smelly (mold or something), I couldn't sleep the first night, at the morning we told the owner and she sent the cleaning ladies to our room and the problem was solved. Rooms are quite large and roomy. Restaurant was great, excellent service with good food and the balcony is almost perfect (need to trim some trees so the view would be perfect). They got a pool that is pretty much on the beach that is for hotel guests only with the perfect view. Would recommend anyone (familes and couples) to go there.

10/10 exquisite experience. Scooters for rent. Beachfront access to a pristine cove beach. Nicely sized pool to lounge in as well. Minimal-frills room, but service staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a couple of staff available after office hours — handy when we had to fix our minor electricity issue at night. Would defo come back for sure ✊🏽

Not to be missed, massage everywhere. Beautiful white soft sand and clear waters, surrounded with beautiful huge rocks and greenery. It's my fav beach so far as very close by to me so convenient if u stay near the mountains.

My wife and I spent two days here. We arrived late and the friendly staff were accommodating and showed us to our room. The room was simple and clean with aircon. Both mornings we had the breakfast that came with our booking. Tasty breakfast to start the day, however the coffee is average. It was great having the option to relax on the beach or be in the clean, well maintained pool to cool off. The staff were friendly and accommodating, however when it came to dinner service they tend to shut around 7:00 which was fine for my wife and I but for others I could see been an issue. Over all I would recommend to friends and family.
