The Grand Palace is a magnificent landmark and a must-see in Bangkok. Its intricate architecture, ornate details, and rich history showcase Thailand’s cultural heritage at its finest. Walking through the palace grounds feels like stepping into a royal era, with highlights like the Emerald Buddha Temple leaving a lasting impression. A visit here is truly unforgettable. The ticket price is 500 baht btw ! And remember not to wear sleeveless shirts and shorts !

I enjoyed visiting despite it being a top tourist location (i.e. crowded). The architecture and artwork is awesome. It was a lovely day to go, not too hot. Make sure to dress appropriately-no shorts, midriffs or bare shoulders. The signage was helpful and the staff I met were helpful. The textile museum was a bonus that more people should check out.

The Grand Palace is the official residence of the king of Thailand. Part of the palace is open for public including the emerald Buddha temple and other building inside the compound. It’s a breathtaking experience to see the art and architecture of this palace. The early you reach the crowd will be less. It’s opens at 8.30. Sleeveless and shorts are not allowed inside the palace. The area is beautiful and impressive! A must when in Bangkok! The entrance fee is 500 baht per person. We were there on a Friday at around 9 a.m., the complex opens at 8:30. We didn't have to wait and we didn't buy any tickets in advance. The dress code was taken very seriously! Make sure you wear long trousers! Women can also wear long skirts and dresses, but they are well above the knee! Shoulders must be covered. It got very busy during the morning and there were sometimes large crowds. Accordingly, you should either be there very early or probably later, just before it closes, if you don't like crowds. Otherwise, super beautiful!

The Grand Palace is truly one of the best and most beautiful architecture I have ever seen. If you are into history, the free English tour (3 to 4 times a day inside the palace) is recommended. The palace is usually so crowded that you can't walk easily. I recommend cloudy days or the time of the day when the sun is not in the middle of the sky as this will make your visit very uncomfortable.

Beautiful temples with a lot of history to walk around. 500baht entrance fee but this does include some other attractions as well so if you do them it's worth it. There are free guided tours at various times throughout the day, we did one and it was really good, the guide was amazing and we really enjoyed it! But be prepared for it to be busy no matter what time of day you get there!! Also men must wear trousers, even shorts covering the knees were not allowed.

This is a beautiful Temple with intricate details and paintings in the buildings surrounding the main Temple. You can only visit with a full entrance ticket to the Royal Palace, which are available at the door. I would recommend getting a tour guide as there is not too much information posted and the guides seem very knowledgeable about the history, architecture, and faith of the Temple. Note, they do strictly enforce attire so please dress appropriately (no shorts or skirts, or revealing tops), otherwise you will have to purchase pants!

Another complex where photographs do not quite do the structures justice. The detail and architecture of the entire complex were amazing and while there were a lot of people, even early in the morning, it was well worth the visit. Would recommend if in Bangkok.

Beautiful temple definitely recommend going in a little earlier in the day as it get really crowded very quickly. There is no photos allowed inside of the temple of the Emerald Buddha. Really enjoy the beautiful painting of Thailand national epics "The Ramakien", make sure to check it out.

One of the highlights of the entire complex. The size and magnitude of the image was incredible. It's a tight space with a lot of people, so make sure you take your time enjoying the beauty that is the entire room and the image. But of course, also be aware of those around you as well, so that everyone can enjoy as well. Absolutely recommend.

This is a must visit place in Bangkok. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main city, this is a beautiful temple with superb architecture. The main sanctum where Reclining Buddha resides is massive. The huge statue of sleeping Buddha must be atleast 100 m in length and it's difficult to take pictures of the full statue from your phone. Its so huge. Apart from that the other temples are also gorgeous.

Wat Pho was the first temple that we ever visited and it has set the bar very high! The reclining Buddha is a sight to behold, honestly beautiful and photos do not do it justice of how big it is! The grounds are all beautiful to walk around and see, there is an interactive board which gives you info on your phone apparently but we couldn’t make it work! When I’m going to these places I love to learn and would’ve been nice to be able to learn a bit more about where we was and what we was seeing, so that is why we didn’t give it 5 stars! Still, Very beautiful and very worth visiting. Please be respectful and cover up! It is not an Instagram attraction!

Amazing - and beautiful... well worth the 300THB cover charge... the throngs of people, however, can be overwhelming. Shoes off in the green bags provided. Take your time to enjoy the dimensions of this statue... look for the gaps between the pillars to get a bit closer to take a better photo. Warning of pickpockets are issued continuously at the entrance... so please be aware and safe. Two thumbs up!!

This temple is truly one of the most beautiful and unique I’ve ever seen. The entry fee is 200 Thai Baht, which includes a complimentary small water bottle—a thoughtful touch. The architecture and intricate design of the structure are breathtaking and unlike anything else. While the area outside is quite crowded, the inside of the temple is much calmer, allowing you to soak in its beauty. There are plenty of souvenir shops around and clean bathrooms nearby, making it convenient for visitors. A delightful highlight was seeing people dressed in traditional Thai costumes, posing for stunning photographs taken by professional photographers available for hire. It’s definitely worth doing if you have time—the photos turn out incredible! Overall, a must-visit for its beauty, cultural significance, and photo opportunities.

Wonderful view and beautiful temple! I felt like I should have visited before. You can try the Thai costume there and can take amazingly beautiful pictures. We went there like around 6pm and that was an awesome sunset with a cool breeze but very crowded. You can enjoy the perfect view on the way to the temple from the Hop On Hop Off tourist boat. Highly recommend!

Wat Arun is a magnificent temple with large columns and intricate details and carvings. It was crowded with many tourists and visitors dressed in rented authentic Thai clothing for photo shoots. This unfortunately took away from the experience, however you can certainly still find a moment of peace here. You are able to climb the stairs to walk around the structure, however take care as the steps are steep. The building is beautifully lit during sunset and in the evenings! Please be respectful and wear proper clothing, although they did not seem to enforce the no shorts rule when I visited.

Wat Arun is one if the Thailand's signature. We can go there by shuttle boat which only costs 5 baht. The entrance fees to Wat Arun is 200 baht for foreigners. We can rent Thai traditional costumes and photographers with reasonable price there. It is not as crowded as Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha and better to visit in early morning and evening. Wat Arun represents rich culture of Thailand and it is a must to visit in Bangkok.

A hidden or not as well known attraction which is brilliant. This is our second time and this is such a nice place to climb the stairs and see different views and levels. The temples and Buddhas are great and I love the cave temple at the end personally. It has so much going on around the mount too so has a buzzing atmosphere.

It is hardly likely a religious place but rather temple for tourism or tourist. Anyway, it is good place to feel the atmosphere of Buddism in Thai, also nice place to enjoy city view. Stairs are not difficult to climb. Total climbing time might be 5 minutes or so and the stairs itself are very low. Admit fee is 100 baht per 1 tourist, which is different from google maps.

It’s a nice climb to the top, with more statues, water features and bells along the way. They sell water upstairs and have giant fans you can sit in front of if you’re feeling too warm. The view from the top is awesome! They’re not too strict with the dress code, so shorts are okay (for guys at least) as long as they’re not too short. They sell the ever ubiquitous elephant print trousers there in case your clothes are deemed not appropriate. It’s a bit of a walk from the nearest metro station.

the Temple of the Golden Buddha, is a revered Buddhist temple located in the heart of Bangkok's Chinatown. It is renowned for housing the world's largest solid gold Buddha statue, a magnificent testament to the country's rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted Buddhist faith.

Walked to the temple from Chinatown. Impressive gold Buddha which you can view after buying a 100 Baht ticket and climbing several sets of stairs. There are quite a few rules you have to observe before and whilst viewing which are listed on signs in English (no shoes on, no video recording allowed etc.) It was quite nice to see people worshipping in front of the Buddha and it was only my self conscious self that stopped me from getting on the floor too. Besides the Buddha there are donation boxes and small gifts you can buy but be aware some are quite expensive like 800 THB which I think is £18 for a bracelet. There is a separate souvenir shop that has more reasonably priced items. I have marked this a 3, only because of one of the attendants where I viewed the Buddha. I didn't like the sense of being watched with suspicion and noticed that this person was treating all like that even though everyone was very respectful. Other than that this was a beautiful thing to do and on first sight of the Buddha I was overcome with a feeling of serenity.

There are no words to describe how much I love this park. My go-to for the runs as well as picnics and long walks. The abundance of nature, cats, and monitor lizards surrounding the park is a perfect combination to the busy streets of Bangkok. I love to see how people come together to exercise and share daily activities. Don't miss it when in Bangkok.

Such an interesting park right in the middle of Bangkok! There were SO many big water monitors which was awesome. Through it is advised to not get too close to them because they are considered dangerous. There were also multiple bodies of water where you could rent fun paddle boats. Lots of people laying down for a nap in the grass. I tried that too. Would recommend 🙂

Very interesting, and almost a peaceful place in the middle of one of the overcrowded are in Bangkok. The park is properly serviced, it offer good walking/jogging trail, with plenty of refreshments /goof outlets, and notable mobile - toilets 🤗 Lighting of the park is great, and Safety and Security is certainly assured by the clearly presence of the Thai police. Very interesting place and worth visiting

A good place to take a break from the business of Bangkok. Not really many unique activities to do within the park other than the very gentle and peaceful water monitor lizards. 30 minutes to 1 hour visit seems sufficient to get a view of the park

Tired, needs updating and improving, but has a great running and cycling circuit. You can see Water Monitors un and around the lovely lakes. A welcome green space in Bangkok that could be better. A central cafe would be welcome. There seems to work happening, maybe this is the vision for the future.

Brings you to a totally new world! Marine life has always fascinated me. I try to check out similar places of interest wherever I go. My favorite attractions here were the shark tank where you can view them overhead; provided seats or steps to better enjoy viewing the fish. It’s so relaxing to watch them swim to and fro! There are recommended attractions for kids like the touching of starfish, DIY activity beside the penguin feeding area, the jellyfish area, etc. Despite coming on a weekday at the opening hour, the place was filled quickly within the next hour. Couples, families, came to visit. Some small kids can get a bit rowdy-running and shouting so I think there should be some staff stationed at various areas to ensure safety at all times. The place isn’t that big and can be explored less than an hour (as I did) but I went back to the start area and leisurely explored each attraction once more. I also watched the 4D movie, which was quite amazing!

very beautiful, many species of marine life, children really enjoy it. The shark tunnel was the highlight of my visit. It felt like I was transported to a vast ocean when I walked through the transparent tunnel, surrounded by countless sharks of all sizes. The shimmering lights created a magical atmosphere, making me feel like I was swimming alongside these gigantic creatures. recommended to book ticket via their website in advance to get more discount. This venue is located in the basement of Siam Paragon, I enjoyed every bit of my walking so recommend to come. The sea life inside is SUPER CUTE!

It's an aquarium worth visiting, as if the ocean has been brought to the heart of the city. It’s a marvellous underwater world perfect for learning experiences. Children are thrilled by the aquatic creatures they encounter, with a wide variety of marine life, both familiar and unfamiliar. Unsurprisingly, most visitors are families bringing their little ones to explore. Tickets are available as annual passes or day passes. It’s recommended to buy them online for cheaper rates, and annual passes are even more cost-effective—visiting more than three times makes it well worth it!

Visiting SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World was such a memorable experience! The aquarium is beautifully designed, with a stunning underwater tunnel that makes you feel completely immersed in marine life. The variety of creatures on display, from sharks to adorable penguins, was truly impressive. I also loved the interactive touch pools—it was a hit for kids and adults alike! While the tickets were a bit on the higher side, the quality and uniqueness of the exhibits made it worth every baht. A must-visit attraction in Bangkok!

The park is special and they have really gone all out in curated worlds to fit the sea life. The glass boat ride was an exciting revelation, it was fun to see the backgrounds of the aquarium and see what the tanks look like, behind the curtain experience plus a closer look of the sea life. 4D cinema was okay, more fun for kids, more back ache for … Go visit them!

A very big and great mall filled with dtores. They have almost all luxury brands like liis Vuitton, Dior and many more. Also they have shops for big car companies like Tesla and BMW. Beautiful architecture.

We had fun shopping at Siam Paragon. This huge shopping mall sells lots of luxury brands and high end products. It is located in the busy part of Bangkok. There are lots of retail outlets, departmental store and a food court with a huge selection of local and international cuisines. You can find many Michelin starred restaurants here. This mall is beautifully decorated especially during the festive season. The place is so crowded especially on weekend.

I visited the beautiful arena on a Friday afternoon. Our hotel was at a walking distance so we just crossed the Water Gate and reached with the help of Maps. Straight we went to the ticket window and purchased along with an English guided tour. Each ticket costs 200 Baht irrespective of whether it is a guided tour or not. The tour was supposed to start 20 minutes later so we captured pictures and explored an in-house restaurant meanwhile. The guide came 2 minutes before the start time and she started explaining everything calmly and in detail. The tour lasted for ~40 minutes and we came back with so many great memories.

One of the highlights of our Bangkok trip. Guests are asked to choose which they’d want to visit-the house or the art exhibit area. We opted for the house tour. Tours are offered in various languages-English, Mandarin, French, etc which runs for about 40-45 minutes. Big bags are requested to be kept in the locker(free of charge) while shoes are requested to be removed prior to entering the house. The house is so full of surprises. Almost each nook and cranny has a story to tell. It was a very educational experience as I imagined Jim’s passion for Thailand (and its silk)create a long lasting impact around the world. Since Jim’s souvenir shop items are quite pricey, we opted to shop from a nearby shop also selling silk items among other things. We bought some items in support of the deaf merchant. The museum is walking distance from The National Stadium station. Highly recommended to visit!

Amazing place with great history! Learn something about Thai architecture, culture, and soy mystery. Go early to enjoy some tranquility. If need to wait for your in your language, can spend time in their amazing store or get a nice drink or food. Restaurant quality is fantastic. Highly recommend! And try to come by the water bus on the canal to make your experience even more memorable!

A very good tourist attraction, very historical and educational. We learned about the history of silk in Thailand, and how silk trade helped the economy. They also have a gift shop that has the best quality silk you can find in Bangkok. Also they have a restaurant inside that serves very good international and Thai food. A must visit when in Bangkok Thailand.

Very famous tourist attraction in Bangkok. Entrance fee is 200 baht including a guided group tour in either English or French. Maybe other languages also but they didn’t ask me about that. You cannot walk around the house by yourself and you are now allowed to shoot videos inside also. The employees were very sweet and informative and the tour took about 30-40 minutes. It’s definitely worth the money spend and 1 hour here should be enough to see both the garden and the house and even have a refreshment at their restaurant

One of Bangkok's favorite temples. You can go up to the viewing platform for 20 baht and see a beautiful view of the city. The temple itself is interesting inside.

Great place to go for a quick visit. There were a few people when we went there so it was pretty quiet and calm. Enjoy as it is without a "touristy" environment of stores, noise and many people.

Recommend to visit this place. Inside you will exhibition with history. The most the thing that I like you can climb on the top. Pray on Buddhas relict of you want or just enjoy the view. Entrance donation fee is 20 bhat.

Worth a visit. So glad I came to this temple complex! Walk up a central spiral staircase to the top floor with 360 views of greater Bangkok. This temple is a hidden gem in Bangkok! Wat Ratchanatdaram has beautiful architecture, and its Loha Prasat (metal castle) is truly one-of-a-kind. Located at a busy intersection, it’s surprisingly peaceful inside and offers great views from the top. It is 100 baht per person for foreigners. It was definitely one of the biggest temple I saw in Bangkok. There is a giant swing at the front which is a good photogenic spot. Just be respectful and mindful. I liked meditating in front of the big Buddha statue.

Second temple of the day. This one requires visitors to purchase tickets. Bigger and much more majestic than Wat Ratchabophit, the three coloured scheme of the roof tiles will impress you. This temple allows photos in the inner sanctums but the same decorum of hushed conversations and appropriate dressing applies. Plan to spend about 45 minutes to an hour.

Wat Suthat is a must-visit in Bangkok! It’s one of Bangkok’s oldest and most revered royal temples. Worth exploring. A lesser known temple to tourists, but very beautiful and less crowded. Have in mind - for all temples there is a dress code: no shorts or sleeveless shirts.

Beautiful and well kept temple in Bangkok. We visited around 11am so there are less tourists in the area. It was part of our Bangkok City Tour but it would be easy to just ride a Grab car and go there yourself.

Wat Benchamabophit is also a must-visit in bkk. The temple isn’t crowded compared to other famous ones. The entrance fee is 100 baht. The highlight is definitely the exquisite architecture. The marble exterior is stunning, and the design has intricate details.

A nice and peaceful temple that's worth visiting. Not a long you can do inside, so 30 mins is sufficient if you are planning to visit. Not a lot of shade available, so come along with your hats. A nice little drink cart available on the other end. Overall, a nice place.

Another beautiful temple in Bangkok Thailand. I believe the 5thb coin has the picture of the front of this temple on one side of the coin. The temple is very well kept and maintained. It's free to enter for Thai and it's open nice and early.

Arrived at the entrance on xx December 2017, but realised it has been "Closed for renovation since 21 July 2016" until further notice.

I enjoyed my visit (22.11.15) I was a solo visitor and walked around on my own. I was left to wander at my own pace seeing all I wanted to see at my own pace. Its nice and cool out side even though at the time it was 35c outside. Lots to see inside and lots of history. Once your past the bag search,putting your items into a locker and then shoes off and having your clothing checked ( you have to dress respectfully ) You enter. Also note, no photography allowed.

I've read some of the most recent reviews and I have to say that all staff we came in contact with appeared friendly. There were more tour groups than individuals so that something you may want to keep in mind. The architecture of the building was pretty amazing. I wish we could of had full access to see all the grounds because from the inside it looked beautiful. I have to say if you don't take a tour you're going to be pretty clueless when walking from room to room. There isn't signage telling you the name of the room or what it's use was. There is signage explaining the many pictures hanging on the walls. Finally, be sure to wear long pants when you make a visit. If you don't, you'll have to purchase a covering for 100 baht. They'll also make you lock up your camera or mobile phone in in one of the lockers.

This used to be a spectacular example of Thai architecture. Unfortunately, the site is no longer accessible and the mansion has been pulled down. Security guards and police keep people away. I have tried several times to update the status on googlemaps, however I keep getting the message, "Your edit couldn't be verified, so it won't be published." Perhaps if someone at google would LOOK at the map, they would see the mansion is no longer there. Recent newspaper articles have discussed this, as well, so the information can be easily verified if someone would just take the time.

Absolutely breath taking.. the treasures inside are profoundly beautiful. I will never forget the beauty of that magnificent building and that amazing art. Staff were lovely and the audio guide was fantastic. A must see in Bangkok

Fourteen years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to explore the inside as they opened their doors for public visits. The palace's grandeur was evident in every corner, with its stunning Italian Renaissance architecture and intricate marble details. As I walked through the opulent halls, I was mesmerized by the exquisite murals that adorned the ceilings, each telling a story of Thailand's rich history and culture. The craftsmanship was extraordinary, showcasing the dedication and skill of the artisans who had worked tirelessly to bring the palace to life. The throne room, with its majestic dome and ornate decorations, was particularly awe-inspiring. Standing in the midst of such historical splendor, I could almost feel the echoes of the past, the whispers of royal gatherings and important state affairs that once took place within these walls. It is not public, you cannot enter the place or the park just for a walk (August 2024).

We loved visiting the museum. We spent upwards of half a day here browsing through the rooms. My partner loves museums and I especially loved knowing the history of different elements. Lots of places to sit down and rest, listen to performances, there's a nice restaurant to eat, and a lovely veranda for just soaking it all in. Definitely a must visit for Bangkok if you love history.

Having travelled in many parts of the world, this is one of the most memorable and somehow impressive museums I have ever visited. The artefacts presented in this museum are rarely seen elsewhere in the world. They are so unique and so representative of the rich cultural heritage in East Asia that the museum is indeed a vital site of culture preservation.

The place to experience history, creativity and aesthetic of Thai art as well as some other Asian countries. The museum has been renovated and reorganized. It is now very pleasant to walk around. New collections are on display now with concise description in both Thai and English. Spare enough time to ensure that you'll not miss anything.

Wonderful museum with a great many exhibitions. You can spend all day here and, if you want to see as much as possible, I would recommend starting your day here. They exhibit Everything (yes everything, from tableware to chariots) from the Royal family, from prehistoric art up to the Ayutthaya and Bangkok period, and then also the art of the period of the Kings. The English displays are also outstanding, both in how much information they contain, the quality of that information and how well it is translated and presented. I would rate this as important as visiting the Grand Palace

National museum is a must visit place in Bangkok to know the history tradition and heritage of the Thailand. Not so crowded when I visit on a weekday at 11 in the morning. Along with ticket you will receive a basic guide. Audio guide is also available through app. The exhibits are curated beautifully through different periods Free guided tour available on fridays.

The Royal Barges National Museum in Bangkok is a must-see for anyone interested in Thai history and craftsmanship. The museum houses a collection of ornately decorated barges used by the Thai royal family, each a masterpiece of intricate carvings and gold leaf. The highlight is the Suphannahong, a magnificent 46-meter barge with a mythical swan figurehead. It's a fascinating glimpse into Thai royal traditions.

We tried to visit the Royal Barges Natuonel Museum today, Oct 25th 2024. We walked the long footpath to the museum. We arrived at about 4:10pm. They told us they were closing, which is earlier than posted on website, but allowed us to go in. We were extremely dissappointed a none of the boats shown, in fact no boats were on display that we could see. The place was empty.. If there are no boats, please post that on your website. Was a waste of our time.

We took a boat and got down at the nearest pier and walkes around 950 meters to reach this place. It was all small alleys and the people were doing their daily stuff. It is an interesting walk and since Thai people are very nice, it is safe to walk in those alleys (it is an experience, alleys are probably 4 to 6 ft wide). Once we reached this place, it is amazing. Not a very big museum with lots of displays. But worth visiting. If you take a private boat ride, then there is a stop here on the front side of it. Very large boats used by royals, in good condition after a king restored it. Restrooms are there and very clean.

Location is not strategic, the path leads you to a long winding road. If you happen to take a Grab it will not drop you at the exact location. You will need to follow the sign and walk for a distance with small passageway to the exact spot. Just don’t get lost! 200 Baht per entry

We went there on a weekday and it wasn't packed, but I'm not sure if it would be on weekends. We walked in to buy tickets, but it's recommended to buy in advance if you plan to go on weekends. They do have audio guides to borrow, and inside, they sell fresh coconut water that's not expensive! You shouldn't wear sexy dresses or shorts that are too short, as they aren't allowed inside, but luckily, they do have sarongs to borrow. You just need to return them when you're done using them. Inside the building is really beautiful and not hot, with beautiful architecture. Thai people believe that passing under an elephant's belly will bring good luck, and my husband did that in the museum. Inside the museum is cool and shady, making it nice to stay for a while. They also have a waterfall, and it's not far from Bangkok!

Visited February 2024 We purchased our tickets in advance from an agency called "Roadtrip Thailand" as part of a combo deal for the Erawan Museum and Ancient City. The process was smooth—we simply showed the paper at the ticketing office and went on our way. It was hot during our visit, so I recommend bringing a hat, a fan, and a pair of sunglasses for comfort. We started by walking around the main Elephant building before entering the iconic 3-headed Elephant building. We followed the stations as directed and explored inside. It was a unique and memorable experience that I’d definitely recommend to tourists!

It's a small space consisting of a single building and a garden. On the lower floor, there’s a royal artifact exhibition room. It’s a great spot to take photos while wearing traditional clothing, which you can rent. The guard on the top floor was very kind.

Went today and the museum it was very nice and plenty of this to see and learn. Many prayers spots too and instructions. If you want to wear more traditional outfits you can't rent them for 350 baht with 100 baht more for accessories. It's 200 baht for kids. The tickets for adults are 400 baht. In my photos I showed alot of the art and some of the pray spots in my photos and videos. The souvenirs shop right before entering has a lot of good souvenirs at a low cost most are below 150 baht. Plenty of magnets, bottles openers, hats.

Somewhat divided place. It is something between amusement park, museum and a temple. Lot of creativity used when building the site. For example spoons and plates have been used to decorate the stairs. Still worth of visiting. The grand finale is to climb the stairs all the way up inside the copper elephant where you can find temple.

If you’re looking to buy a souvenir from a local artist, this is definitely a good spot to visit. I appreciated that entry to the art gallery was free because, honestly, if I had paid, I’d probably have asked for a refund. The majority of the art on display didn’t resonate with me at all—I didn’t find it visually appealing, thought-provoking, or even particularly interesting. That said, the artists selling their work here seem to have done a much better job than those featured in the gallery.

My experience here is amazing! The museum showcases a variety of art styles and artworks of different mediums ranging from political, contemporary, and children's arts. Every month they exhibit different artists' works that you can buy. Sometimes there are artworks made by disabled people you can buy, which goes to charity. so I recommend coming here since the entrance is free and it's easy to get here by car or train! On the flip side, the souvenirs are overpriced and I recommend not buying them if you're here to just explore and find inspiration.

I appreciated that there’s no entrance fee at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, and you’re free to wander around all the floors, which makes it a nice, casual way to spend some time. The building reminded me of the famous Guggenheim Museum in New York, with its spiral design and open layout. I also liked that I could buy souvenirs and books on the first floor, which added to the experience. The art on display did not appeal to me. That said, there were one or two modern displays that made me stop and reflect. It’s worth a visit for the architecture, the variety of art styles, and the opportunity to shop for unique items, especially since it’s free.

When visiting the Bangkok Art and Culture Center make sure to come in through the ground floor at street level to view the spectacular atrium. A world-class contemporary art facility, it is free admission. The main exhibits start on the seventh floor and go up - it's easier to tour the galleries and then come back down the impressive spiral walk away. When you take the escalator up to the seventh floor take a left and enter through there. Then just take the elevator up to the ninth floor tour the remaining galleries and then walk down.  Easily accessed from the National Stadium BTS - and adjacent to the MBK and Siam Complex of malls - this is one of my favorite detours.

This place is great if you have adhd. Six different music's all competing for the same year, loves absolutely insane on your senses. If you're twenty to thirty great places to maybe party. The street hawkers aren't super aggressive, which is nice like other areas. Would suggest visiting during the day and then also visiting at night to complete different vibes. All in all fun time.

This is a market worth visiting... open only on Saturdays and Sundays, there is so much to see, buy, and eat. We even had a 45-minute foot massage after walking for hours. It was interesting looking at all the different pets for sale too. So much food was available the lowest price we have seen so far in Thailand.. and it was fresh, tasty, and decent portions. We didn't manage to see every stall, as the market is humongous.

Largest market in entire Thailand. Heaven for shopping - clothes, shoes, arts, plants, souvenir and what not. Best time to visit is definitely on weekends. Starts very early morning and goes till 10PM in the night. It’s a massive stretch of over 35KM, so be prepared to walk and shop. And I found a lot of second hand things, so please be aware and shop for the best hunts. Pricing is just one part of it, you need to cross check its quality before any purchase. Just done some window shopping and I was happy about it. Love the availability of food stalls, and plenty of options to look around. Instead of buying souvenirs at the airport I would recommend picking up from here.

So many stores! Prices are definitely lower here. My wife and kids had fun shopping(mostly clothes) while i enjoyed eating—most of the eating places are in the perimeter. This place can really get crowded and our driver advised us to keep our belongings safe.

One of the 3 tallest buildings in southeast Asia, it's a must see. Go to the top and look out, incredible views. Bangkok is a unique, beautiful, busy nightlife city. Coming from the desert, I love the gentle humidity.

Nice place, but u must order a drink and its very expensive. I advise you to go to the 53 floor first, get a drink, finish it, take pics and then go to the 64th floor to sirocco, the best ever view. Its just a restaurant, they dont serve just drinks, u must order food. Which is very pricey. So go better to another bar for a drink and then just go sirocco for pictures. Try to wear smth classy or glamarous, long dresses for women, classy pants and shirts for men would be best . Its kinda high class place, everyone will look at you, u will feel awkward if dressed sporty or too casual. So get ready well and enjoy your time amazing views and pictures. The best time to go is for sunset. At night its so amazing there 😍

Beautiful restored and ancient Thai monuments. So many places and temples to explore. Beautiful details and many hidden gems. We spent 5 hours exploring the ancient city on bikes and it was amazing. There are food and drink options everywhere as well as toilet facilities. Must see in Bangkok!!

The Ancient City is a perfect day out and a truly unique experience in Bangkok. As the largest private outdoor museum in the world, spanning 315 acres, it replicates Thailand’s map, with each attraction located in its original region. While we didn’t dive deep into the stories behind each site, we thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking architecture and picturesque landscapes, which encapsulate Thai, Hindu, and Chinese myths, religions, philosophies, and cultures. We rented a club car for 6 people for 3 hours, which was ideal for exploring such a vast area. The museum is incredibly well-serviced, with clean toilets, plenty of refreshment shops, and restaurants (the food was decent too). Along the way, we even got to see and feed elephants—though riding them is also an option (for a cost). Other animals, like chickens and buffalo, added a charming touch to the experience. The sceneries are truly out of this world, making the Ancient City one of the most photogenic and Instagrammable places we visited in Bangkok. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy stunning sights, immerse themselves in Thailand’s culture, and capture amazing memories.

After lunch, we returned to the lobby to decide how to explore the largest outdoor museum. You have three options: bike, golf cart, or tram. Walking is not an option—the area is too vast. Even taking the tram, which visits selected areas, took us almost half a day. If you have a driver’s license, I highly recommend choosing the golf cart. Biking is an option if you don’t mind the blazing summer heat. We chose the tram, but honestly, it felt rushed. We were only given about 30 minutes to explore each recommended area, and each spot was so beautiful that it felt impossible to take it all in.

A tourist attraction spot that I would recommend to go. It’s a huge area but there are different transportation modes offered for those on free-&-easy; bicycle, buggy rental, or self drive with fee. Can be very hot so prepare sufficiently. I did not manage to cover the whole place though I arrived at Ancient City at about 9.45am and ended at about 3pm without lunch. So, I will be going back again.

Safari World is a must-visit destination for an unforgettable wildlife adventure! There are all together 7 shows in Marina park. The safari world is just the open zoo where you have to drive in either using your own car/coach or pay 100 baht to take their coach. If you want to complete all the shows, watch all the animals and take the safari world coach, you need to arrive the park by 9am, take the first coach then follow all the timing of the show. Honestly I think that’s not a good idea, the entire crowds just moving from one show to another. My kids enjoyed the shows especially the orangutan, elephant and dolphin shows. But I personally dislike the animal shows which they make jokes out of the animals. I think they should just show the intelligent part of the animals and remove all the jokes. I think the cowboy stunt show can be missed. The sound effect is way too loud and not very interesting and you can’t understand their plots. Same comment to spy war. And if you been to USS waterworld. The show is very similar ti that except it’s in Thai/Eng but I can’t understand the plot. Maybe they should just focus on the animals and remove stunt show and cowboy shows. And tourist can enjoy the animals in a leisure pace. Also, the map is not updated, multiple attractions were in construction. We had hard time to find the blossom restaurant (international buffet restaurant) too!

Awesome place to spend a whole day. The safari is a great place to experience animals up close. Giraffe feeding station, dolphin show, sea lion show, orangutan show .. all were fun. There is a restaurant inside the safari world that serves good food.

The best Zoo that we have visited so far. The size is so enormous and the cleanest surroundings I've seen for an animal park. The Safari Park would take you to the animal-paradise where you would see a mixture of wild animals and birds that includes: giraffes, zebras, buffalos, deer, Antelopes, assorted birds from Ostriches to Flamingoes...The fenced area is for: lions, tigers, Rhinos, Hippos, Bears etc. The Jungle area is where caged animals are kept like: Iguanas, Birds, Orangutans, Monkeys, Anteaters, Camels, Elephants, Kangaroos, Capybara etc. Marine species from Giant Fishes to Koi, Sealion, Dolphins etc. Interaction and feeding of some animals are welcomed with minimal fees.

I had a great time here. I bought my tickets online so I saved a little bit of money. I went on a Friday. There were lots of students but they all left at around 3. No shows on weekdays, only weekends. Every ride was open. Everything looked well maintained. The international buffet was great for an additional 100 baht on the admission ticket. The go carts were my favorite activity.

Dream World is a fun place to visit near Bangkok, especially for families. We went on a weekday, and it wasn’t crowded at all, which made it even more enjoyable. The Adventure Park has plenty of exciting rides and attractions, and there’s something for kids of all ages. It’s a great spot to spend a day filled with fun and entertainment. Definitely worth a visit! 🎢✨

Gotta admit I was very sceptical about the high ratings for this amusement park. Couple of YouTube reviews and nagging child pushed us to give it a go. Was very pleasantly surprised. Got there on a Tuesday morning around 11am and it was fairly empty but quickly got busy with school kids (secondary/high school). All rides were fully operational, shows were off though. Food quality and prices were comparable to out of theme park prices which was a very welcome change (getting severely ripped off on food at amusement parks is a guaranteed in almost all theme parks). Rides were fun and appears to be well maintained. Very well staffed and the staff are friendly and polite. No pushy sales either. Easy to get to and back via Grab. Only negative is it can be quite far to travel. We bought discounted tickets via Pelago and it was unlimited rides. Went over to the information office to exchange of tickets and straight in with no wait.

Purchased tickets on Klook in advance and received the tickets in the Information Counter near the entrance. Overall I enjoyed this theme park as all the rides have relatively short queuing time and most of the rides have a DJ available doing a vibe check from time to time. The time for each ride is quite long, some lasted for 3 minutes up, one even lasted for a whole 5 minutes (yes I timed it and was amazed by how long the ride was). I imagine it would be quite hot to wait under the sun so I would recommend coming on a cooler day. Snacks are available with a very reasonable price. Toilets are very clean.

It's not Disneyland or Universal Studios, but it's a great place to visit and have some fun weather you're 12 or 55, it doesn't matter. There are a lot of games to play, rides, and places to eat. A place for the whole family to enjoy.
