Excursions in Pattaya, a detailed overview of the best offers

Pattaya Thailand

Without a doubt, Pattaya is the most favorable place for fans of all kinds of excursions, because all the most interesting things are concentrated in the central part of the country. In this article, we will take a closer look at what excursions in Pattaya are available and which among the wide variety are actually worth your attention. Grab some popcorn, we’re starting…

Where to Begin

You should start by picking the type of vacation that appeals to you personally, because in the Land of Smiles there are several types of excursion programs, including:

  • island excursions;
  • attractions (temples, statues);
  • active recreation;
  • show programs.

Let’s clarify right away that in this article we will not be promoting the purchase of excursion tours from large travel companies (Natalie Tours, Biblio Globus, Anex Tour, Tez Tour, Pegas Touristik, etc.) because they have inflated prices, and the description of the excursion program is often much more meager than an equivalent package sold at street stalls.

Near the mountain

Buddha Mountain and Vineyards

Naturally, the hotel guide will do everything possible to persuade and convince you not to use the street sellers because: A — they are allegedly dangerous and operate illegally, and B — your insurance will not be valid if something happens on such a trip.

First, no travel agency in Thailand can operate without the corresponding license, because that would lead to serious legal trouble. Moreover, an agency must enter into at least two contracts (with the company providing tourist transfers and with the receiving side at the visited site). Without a license, that would be quite problematic, so whatever the guide says about this is a lie.

street vendor booth

Second, insurance covers the entire territory of the country you are visiting, no matter how you got there (read the conditions, and if you don’t believe it, call the phone number on the policy and verify for yourself). The only exception is if you have standard insurance, it will not cover injuries or harm suffered as a result of extreme excursions (bungee jumping, diving, parachuting, etc.).

Where to Buy

You will have to choose between buying an excursion on the street or booking online through websites specializing in exciting travel in one country or another.

Inside the agency

The first option is convenient in terms of discounts (you can bargain on the spot with the seller and significantly reduce the initial cost), while the second is better in terms of early booking (by purchasing an excursion on the website, you can be sure you’ll depart at the scheduled time, to the intended destination).

You can check out the best options on the websites listed below.

Free Attractions

Enough with the valuable instructions, time to lift the veil of mystery.

Inside the temple complex

Inside Wat Yan

Pattaya has attractions that you can visit on your own, bypassing the tour operator at the hotel or on the street; moreover, these places are often free or conditionally free (the maximum entrance fee is 50 baht).

Attractions that can be visited for free or for a nominal fee:

  • Golden Buddha Hill (free);
  • Chinese Garden (free);
  • Pratamnak Viewpoint (free);
  • Viewpoint near the Pattaya sign (free);
  • Walking Street (free);
  • Khao Chi Chan (Buddha Mountain) (free);
  • Wat Yan Temple Complex (entrance 50 baht);
  • Silver Lake Vineyards (entrance 50 baht).

These sights are marked on the map.

Islands and Beach Relaxation

A visit to Pattaya is always accompanied by a shortage of clean seawater because in Thailand’s main resort, the sea, let’s be honest, is not quite suitable for daily swimming. As a result, most vacationers travel daily to one island or another in the Andaman Sea, in search of white-sand beaches and crystal-clear water. And they do find it.

On the beach

From Pattaya, you can head to the following islands:

  • Ko Lan;
  • Ko Samet;
  • Ko Sichang;
  • Ko Chang;
  • Ko Kood;
  • Emerald Island.

Additionally, you could skip an island excursion and simply travel a bit outside the city to the Military Beach or Hat Nang Ram (Dancing Girl Beach).

Ko Lan

Ko Lan, or as everyone calls it Ko Lan (ko = island in Thai), is the closest island to Pattaya. People go there if they want to swim in a clean sea and lounge on the sand without worrying about empty bottles or other trash nearby.

Clean water is no rarity here

Buying a tour to Ko Lan is pointless because essentially it’s just a regular trip to an island with a few beaches, and from a sightseeing standpoint, there’s not much to see. Traveling on your own won’t take more than 40 minutes by ferry or about 20 minutes by speedboat. You can read more about Ko Lan in our article — Ko Lan Island.

There are also rocky beaches on the island

The ferry to Ko Lan costs about 40 baht.

If you book through a travel agency, you’ll pay 700 baht for the hotel-speedboat-hotel transfer. The advantage of such a booking is visiting a secluded beach where ferries don’t go and where there are far fewer people.

Ko Samet

If you can go to Ko Lan practically anytime, then to Ko Samet, it’s best to set out early in the morning because it’s farther away (about 80 km from Pattaya).

Bigger waves on Samet

Thanks to its white sand, Samet is often compared to Phuket, and in terms of marine scenery, to Samui.

If you want to relish historical stories and see preserved artworks, this isn’t the place for that. Here you’ll find only a beach, the sea, and if you decide to stay overnight, a little bit of nightlife.

White-sand beaches

You can get to Samet on your own, in total for 120–150 baht, or order an excursion from a tour operator (the cost will be higher because the transfer is by sea — 1,000 baht per adult and 700 baht per child, with an optional lunch for 200 baht).

Ko Sichang

Near Bangkok lies the favorite vacation spot of Thailand’s royal family, where entrepreneurial sellers have already set up a tourist flow.

wild scenery

Essentially, there’s nothing outstanding here except for the artificially hyped “Wishing Cave” and a Buddhist monastery, which a guide will take you to.

After the tour, you’ll have a few hours to relax on one of the island’s beaches.

among monkeys nearby

Such a trip costs 1,400 baht per person for one day.

Attention! Very often, the tour operator misleads tourists, creating the impression that the trip is to Ko Chang, so double-check the details before purchasing.

If you go on your own, round-trip costs about 150 baht per person (a tuk-tuk to the town of Si Racha and the ferry both ways).

Ko Chang

Island trips from Pattaya are interesting, but the most fascinating among the islands listed is Ko Chang, which is located almost on the border with Cambodia, about 300 km from Thailand’s resort capital.

magnificent sea view

It’s best to go to Ko Chang for more than one day because just the trip by land can take up to four hours.

There aren’t any notable attractions on the island, but there is an indescribable atmosphere of beach relaxation and stunning scenery. After noisy Pattaya, the silence here is so palpable…

Evening on Chang

Excursion prices range from 2,400 baht to 5,000 baht (this includes one night at a hotel).

If you prefer to travel independently, the cost of the transfer drops significantly, but the travel time increases. A round-trip without a hotel is 720 baht per person.

Ko Kood

For lovers of tropical scenery, small waterfalls, and untouched nature, there’s a boat trip to Ko Kood (Ko Kood). This island is part of the Chang archipelago, mentioned above, and getting there isn’t quick. Ko Kood is called “Coconut Island” because of its abundance of coconut palms. From Ko Chang, you can relatively cheaply get to Kood for just 150 baht (renting a boat).

Ao Tapao Beach on Kood

If you order a transfer from Pattaya, the trip will cost 3,000–4,000 baht, including an overnight stay.

Emerald Island

For those who love peace and quiet, you can buy a tour to Kam Island (Ko Kam), located 40 kilometers from Pattaya. Ko Kam is aptly called “Emerald Island,” as the water here really has an emerald tint.

At the beaches of Emerald Island

Few tourists come here, owing to the excursion’s lack of popularity (it takes a whole day, and many prefer to spend their time on something more significant).

Indeed, there aren’t many interesting places here, but there’s plenty of free space without the crowds.

This excursion costs 1,200 baht and takes almost an entire day.

Nice beach with breathtaking view. The beach is managed by the Navy so it’s quite well maintained and organized. Can be really crowded on weekends where the locals are enjoying their time with the family. You can walk leisurely from the north side to the south side

If you get seasick and have no desire for a boat trip just for a beach vacation, consider Pattaya’s popular Military Beach — Sai Kaew. There’s no need to buy a separate excursion for this place because Sai Kaew is just a remote beach outside the city.

part of the beach

It’s called Military because the Thai Ministry of Defense has a facility here.

In high season (November, January, February, March), it’s quite crowded, but the beach is cleaned more thoroughly, whereas in summer, when there are almost no people, maintenance is less frequent.

among palms

The transfer costs 350–600 baht per person (with or without lunch). If you go on your own, it’s not much cheaper, but it takes longer (transport access is poor).

Dancing Girl Beach (Hat Nang Ram)

An alternative to Sai Kaew is the Dancing Girl Beach (also run by Thailand’s Ministry of Defense).

sculptures on the beach

It’s farther away than the Military Beach, but admission is free. The main downside is the complete lack of entertainment near Hat Nang Ram. There are a few cafés, a couple of souvenir shops, and its own hotel. Aside from water-based recreation and admiring the scenery, there’s really nothing else to do. So come here for just a day to escape the city buzz, or if you’re so tired of the noise that you’d welcome complete, relaxing tranquility.

The transfer costs 600 baht for an adult and 350 baht for a child (includes lunch).

Sea Excursions to Nearby Islands — 1 Day

What’s a vacation without sea excursions? This section is similar in format to the previous one, but its content offers more interesting possibilities.

At the pier

We won’t talk about the Phi Phi Islands tour because it’s already very popular and speaks for itself. Let’s delve into some lesser-known options for sea recreation.

Caribo Sea Excursion

There’s another way to sail to the islands, offered by the “Caribo” excursion program, which, in addition to sightseeing, invites vacationers to actively create their own thrills.

riding an inflatable tube at sea

“Caribo” includes a trip to Ko Phai, which is about 50 km from Pattaya, but not just a simple boat ride. It’s packed with various fun experiences, which include:

  1. Archery.
  2. Sports games.
  3. Snorkeling in open water.
  4. Tubing.
  5. Wakeboarding and waterskiing.

The cost of this adventure is 2,000 baht for adults and 1,200 baht for children.

Madagascar

Another interesting excursion is “Madagascar.” This isn’t just the name of the excursion program but also the name of the boat on which tourists set out for a one-day journey around nearby islands. Typically, the program involves visiting two islands: one uninhabited, and the other where you can interact with monkeys.

foam party

During the excursion, tourists are served lunch, given time to snorkel under the guidance of an experienced diver, and treated to a foam disco right on the boat.

This excursion costs 1,600 baht for adults and 900 baht for children.

Treasure Island

A more child-focused excursion, “Treasure Island,” includes visits to two small islands, Ko Phai and Ko Manwichai.

magnificent scenery

Each of these islands has extensive shallow water, which automatically makes these beaches perfect for children. Of course, it’s hard to keep a child entertained with just a beach for the entire day, so the organizers included water slides, snorkeling (primarily for adults so they don’t get bored). Even though the program is designed to appeal to children, adults will also enjoy it.

The price is 1,800 baht for adults and 600 baht for children.

Active Recreation

For many people, a good vacation is associated with extreme sports and activities that get the adrenaline flowing. If you fit this description, there are excursions in Pattaya that you will undoubtedly find interesting.

Windsurfing

For windsurfing enthusiasts, Pattaya is not a bad place, although there are resorts in the world that are better suited for this sport.

water sports

The most favorable time of year for riding the waves is the summer, with June being the best month. The most suitable part of the city is Jomtien and the nearby islands (Ko Lan, Ko Sichang). Pattaya has about 20 schools teaching beginners the basics of windsurfing.

Jet Skiing

One of the most popular active pursuits in Pattaya is riding a jet ski. There are more than enough of these on each beach, so many that you might think the beach is for jet skis, not tourists.

racing on jet skis

There’s no point in going into detail about jet skis. Just remember to bargain with the vendors to knock off 10–20% from the standard price.

Diving and Snorkeling

Thailand is truly worth visiting for an excursion offering snorkeling or diving. Our advice is not to spare the money, and at least once, explore the beauty of the Andaman Sea.

swimming with a mask

For diving, you need special equipment, which you can get at a dive center.

Yes, the underwater world in Pattaya isn’t as extensive as, say, Egypt, but there’s still plenty to see. With an experienced instructor by your side, this underwater adventure will be unforgettable.

diving deeper

The cost of a dive depends on the chosen program and starts from 2,000 baht.

Bungee Jumping

A truly extreme activity is jumping from a great height with a rubber cord attached to your legs. In Thailand this is called “Bungee Jump.” You’re tied at the ankles to a platform, and you jump into the void…

jumping into the void

There’s a simplified version — the Slingshot Launch, which also provides quite a thrill.

Before you jump or are launched, you must sign a waiver stating you hold no one liable for your potential death and understand the risk you’re taking. Then you’ll be weighed (so they can calculate the tension on the cord and not overdo it), and after that, it’s either jump or… no refunds, even if you back out at the last moment, so evaluate your stamina wisely.

Overall view

It costs 2,400 baht for a bungee jump and 1,500 baht for a Slingshot Launch.

ATV Riding

For those who enjoy riding, you can have fun on an ATV in Pattaya — not just a quick circuit or two around a stadium, but a full day riding off-road while taking in Thailand’s stunning landscapes.

ATV convoy

There are several options, each differing in duration and the places visited during the motor safari. Typically, this involves a lake where you can swim, fruit plantations, and more.

On the move

Children are allowed on the excursion. The cost starts from 2,000 baht for adults and 1,400 baht for kids, lasting about six hours.

Flyboard

Undoubtedly, flying on a jet-propelled board is among Pattaya’s top extreme activities. You’ve probably seen an athlete hovering several meters above the water on a simple board and doing breathtaking tricks in the air. And admit it — you wanted to try? In Pattaya, you’ll have that chance.

A girl on the board

An experienced instructor will teach you how to properly stand on a flyboard and control this device.

After the initial briefing, you’ll be taken out to sea, where your airborne adventure begins. The maximum ride time for one session is 20 minutes, more than enough to enjoy this activity.

A flight costs 2,700 baht.

Flight of the Gibbon

You’ve likely heard about the “Flight of the Gibbon” attraction in Pattaya. This activity is held in the Chompoo National Park and is classified as extreme, although if you compare it to bungee jumping, there’s not that much actual danger.

Flight of the Gibbon

The essence of this “flight” is that in a specially equipped park, you “jump” from branch to branch like a gibbon. “Jump” might be an overstatement. Tourists are attached to a specially stretched cable that lets them glide from one station to another.

The scenery is gorgeous, and both men and women will enjoy this excursion.

You can take photos and videos, just don’t drop your camera.

It costs 3,400 baht. The excursion lasts 6–8 hours.

Fishing

And what’s a seaside holiday without fishing? Anglers will definitely appreciate this excursion. In the open sea, you can catch a huge variety of fish, from barracuda to shark. And best of all, while you fish, they’ll cook a delicious lunch from the freshly caught fish. You can bring companions along because fishing will happen in scenic areas of the Andaman Sea, meaning you can also do a bit of snorkeling.

caught trophy

If fishing is just a hobby for you, an alternative to sea fishing is lake fishing. The main difference is that all caught fish must be released back into the water.

Sea fishing costs 2,100 for the angler and 1,600 for the companion, while lake fishing costs 1,200 for the angler and 500 for the companion.

Shows in Pattaya

When staying in Thailand’s main resort capital, you might wonder, “What is there to do in Pattaya after sunset? What show programs are available?” Pattaya has a huge range of shows to suit every taste and budget, from innocent to risqué and steamy.

Transvestite Shows

Pattaya’s attractions aren’t limited to statues and parks (which we’ll discuss later). There are also transvestite shows, as it’s no coincidence that Thailand is considered a mecca for such performers.

Performer

There are three main transvestite shows in Pattaya:

  1. Tiffany.
  2. Colosseum.
  3. Alcazar.

You must see at least one of these shows because you won’t find such a colorful performance anywhere else. Should you see each of them? Probably not, as there isn’t much difference (aside from location and certain organizational details).

welcoming visitors

We recommend buying tickets on your own without an agency’s help, to avoid overpaying.

Ticket prices range from 500 to 750 baht (regular or VIP).

Tuxedo – The Illusion Show

Looking for somewhere unforgettable to spend an evening with your child? Naturally, the Tuxedo Magic Theater. We’re sure this place will charm not only children but many adults as well, because everyone was once a child and dreamt of a magical world. Tuxedo can make that dream come true.

By the main entrance

Wonderful illusions, colorful décor, and a fun clown will delight any visitor. The theater has a shop selling magical items (things you can use to perform tricks for friends and family).

Ticket price: 650–750 baht.

Alangkarn Show in Pattaya

If you’ve already seen a transvestite show, you could check out an alternative to Tiffany or Alcazar: Alangkarn. This performance is quite popular among kids, as it ends with an elephant fight (don’t worry, it’s part of the show, and the animals aren’t harmed).

elephant fight

Alangkarn is a mix of historical reenactments and circus tricks set to lively music.

Cost: 1,000 baht.

Muay Thai

The most famous sport in Thailand is Thai boxing, known locally as Muay Thai.

in the middle of the fight

There’s no point in describing Thai boxing at length; you have to see it. Martial arts fans will surely appreciate the spectacle. Fights take place in the new sports center, and occasionally guest fighters from European countries participate, making the matches even more interesting.

Ticket prices range from 1,500 to 2,000 baht.

Adult Shows in Pattaya

Asia has always been known for its liberal attitudes, and one unique aspect of Thailand is that erotic shows originated here. Proceed with caution because it can get very intense, and children aren’t allowed.

Adults-only show

A new type of program has recently appeared — X-Bone Show, featuring transvestites. There’s also Show 69, Big Eye Show, and women-only shows.

In essence, there’s not much difference between them: in all cases, they display all body parts and perform various acrobatic acts with them.

They no longer show explicit intercourse, though if you look, you might still find such content.

Ticket prices are relatively affordable, 500–1,000 baht.

Full Moon Party

A must for young travelers is the Full Moon Party, held every month to celebrate the full moon. If you love a good nightlife, you should go, especially since it’s cheap.

during the party

The Full Moon Party takes place on Koh Phangan under the open sky (even rain can’t stop it) and each time draws a huge crowd (15,000 to 20,000 people). It’s best to arrive early to avoid overpaying for a taxi and to stroll along the coast before the event starts.

This party will stay in your memory for a long time.

The entrance fee is 100 baht unless you’re Thai.

Erotic Sculpture Park

Not only Thais have an open-minded taste. For instance, the Erotic Sculpture Park was founded by a South Korean citizen.

outdoor museum

Within 16,000 square meters lie several dozen peculiar and amusing statues of an erotic nature. There’s no standing around here; this place is a treasure trove of interesting and humorous photos for your vacation collection.

Price is 600 baht.

Excursions in Pattaya — 1-Day Trips for Adults and Children

Finally, we get to the most interesting section for many — excursion descriptions and prices in Pattaya in 2025.

There are a huge number of different offers, and every tour operator will speak glowingly about theirs. We’ve selected the most engaging places really worth visiting, so you won’t feel like you wasted a day of your vacation.

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

The Nong Nooch Tropical Garden rightfully tops the list of must-see excursions, because it’s truly a marvelous place where European and Asian cultures intersect. Here you’ll find a Thai-style replica of the French Versailles, an exact copy of Stonehenge, a butterfly garden, the world’s largest collection of palms and cacti, and much more.

Nong Nooch

You can ride an elephant around the park grounds and watch several shows featuring them. Rest assured, no one will be bored.

It’s best to buy tickets either through a travel agency or on site. Prices range from 400 baht to 1,500 baht.

The Sanctuary of Truth

This is Pattaya’s last temple, built without a single nail from teakwood. Not only is the Sanctuary of Truth itself interesting, but also the shows that are held inside. There are two performances a day — national dances in traditional costumes.

Temple roof

It’s definitely worth visiting this place to immerse yourself in Thai culture. It’s especially interesting to listen to a English-speaking guide who will reveal many mysteries of the site.

Entry fee: 700 baht.

Khao Kheow Open Zoo

Unlike the Phuket Zoo, this place will remain in visitors’ memory for a long time — primarily because of how they treat the animals. You can truly feel the care and love the staff here have for their wards (possibly due to the fact that the zoo is under the personal patronage of a princess).

Giraffe

Khao Kheow is an interactive zoo where you can pet almost all the wild animals (even hippos and giraffes).

Everyone will be thrilled by this place, especially children.

Admission costs 600–700 baht.

Sheep Farm

A place where sheep are raised is sure to please both women and men. You can walk around, take photos, and have a fun time. The farm has several sheep-themed installations that just beg to be included in your pictures.

Sheep enclosure

You can feed and pet the animals, which children especially love.

Entrance fee: 600 baht.

Crocodile Farm and Million Years Stone Park

The name of the excursion speaks for itself. Tourists are offered a chance to see crocodiles living in captivity (in addition to a simple stroll, visitors will watch them being fed and see a show with dangerous stunts).

close to crocodiles

As for the Million Years Stone Park, besides ancient stones, there’s also a waterfall with a pond and an improvised zoo.

Often this excursion is provided as a free bonus for booking a tour with a particular agency.

collection of stones

The excursion costs 500 baht.

Water Park

There are two water parks in Pattaya that are worth the attention of water fun enthusiasts. Both are huge and have no equivalents in Asia. For example, Ramayana Water Park is considered the largest in Southeast Asia, and some of its slides are so big that not everyone dares ride them. Regardless, it’s always crowded.

children’s water play area

The second, less publicized Cartoon Network water park is not far behind Ramayana, and in some ways surpasses it (for instance, fewer visitors), but it’s older.

Admission costs 1,500–1,800 baht.

Spice Garden

The Spice Garden is part botanical garden and part museum, showcasing and demonstrating various aromatic plants and how they are used. In addition to commonly known spices, there is an opium section where you’ll learn about its history and impact on Asia.

surrounded by spices

There is also a cooking show and a tea tasting included.

By the way, the Pattaya Spice Garden was founded by a Russian entrepreneur.

Admission is 600 baht.

Underwater World (Aquarium)

It’s not the cheapest way to spend time, but if you compare it to the Phuket Aquarium, you’ll see the difference right away.

The aquarium’s building is huge. Just the 100-meter tunnel, where various marine life swims overhead, is worth seeing.

a child in awe

You can feed the fish by hand and even swim with predatory fish (for an extra fee). Kids will love it, and it’s definitely worth visiting.

Ticket price is 500 baht for adults and 350 baht for children between 90 cm and 120 cm in height.

The other day, I visited Mini Siam Park in Pattaya. This place features miniature replicas of famous architectural landmarks. Particular attention is given to Thai culture: you can see scaled-down versions of temples, palaces, and other historical buildings of Thailand. For example, the models of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Golden Mount Temple are quite realistic and give you an idea of the grandeur of these structures. The park also has a miniature train. Although it’s mostly designed for kids, adults can ride it too. Sitting in those tiny carriages feels a bit ridiculous, but that’s what makes it even more amusing. If you’re ever in Pattaya, it’s worth a visit for a change of pace.

Photos

Photo

If you want to see Thailand’s main attractions in a single day, you’ll want to visit Mini Siam Park. It houses miniature copies of famous architectural monuments from across Thailand. But that’s not all — in addition to Thai landmarks, Mini Siam features several world-famous sites (it’s better to see it yourself).

one of the exhibits

There are even Russian monuments here, with a high level of detail. It’s best to visit the park in the late afternoon to see it illuminated at sunset.

You pay the entrance fee at the gate, 500 baht.

No matter which month you visit (November or May), it’s open year-round.

Dolphinarium

Almost every resort in any country has a dolphinarium, and Pattaya is no exception. However, it’s not something super remarkable. It’s a fairly standard facility for shows with dolphins.

part of the show

The main appeal is the chance to swim with these incredibly smart mammals, although it isn’t cheap.

Shows are scheduled, so check the timetable before arriving.

The ticket price is 700 baht (swimming 2,500–2,800 baht).

Bangkok

Excursions to Bangkok from Pattaya is a broad topic because there are multiple routes. It’s definitely worth taking advantage of your proximity to Thailand’s most mysterious and vibrant city in Southeast Asia.

If you love architectural monuments, you must take a city tour of Bangkok. It lasts a full day and includes a visit to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, a ferry ride on the river, lunch at the city’s tallest building, and possibly a stop at the aquarium (the program may vary).

For children, the local amusement park “Dream World” is a must — it’s Asia’s Disneyland. Also, little ones will appreciate “KidZania,” a mini city for kids where each child can find a job and feel like an adult.

There are many excursion options; choose according to your preferences.

Multi-Day Excursions from Pattaya

Special attention should be paid to multi-day excursions from Pattaya that include overnight stays (sometimes more than one). These allow you to fully immerse yourself in the Land of Smiles and experience its history and culture more deeply.

Fruit Paradise on the River Kwai

The excursion program “Fruit Paradise on the River Kwai” has only a loose connection to consuming large amounts of fruit. Overall, it’s a tour of interesting places, which include:

  • visiting the White Temple (one of Thailand’s oldest monasteries);
  • an elephant village (a fun stop where you can not only observe elephants but also bathe with them);
  • rafting on the river (in some places the descent is such that you’ll feel like the Thai baht in 2014);
  • a visit to a tea house (tea tasting with the option to buy);
  • a pharmacy (many people choose this excursion precisely for the pharmacy, where you can buy medicines not found elsewhere);
  • an overnight stay at the “Fruit Paradise” hotel (constructed with eco-friendly materials).

This is indeed the most beautiful excursion program.

River Kwai

The price starts at 2,900 baht for adults and 2,100 baht for children.

Cambodia or Singapore

If you’re vacationing in Pattaya, make sure to seize the opportunity to visit Cambodia or Singapore. These are truly exciting and captivating excursions that differ greatly in content (Cambodia = color, temples, antiquity; Singapore = modern skyscrapers, majestic towers, and technology).

Temple in Cambodia

To really experience each country, a three-day excursion is recommended. If you only have two days, you’ll likely regret not paying for the extra day.

Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Apsara — this is just a partial list of the interesting places and shows you’ll experience in Cambodia.

Prices start at 4,000 baht for Cambodia and 14,000 baht for Singapore.

Thai Express

The Thai Express excursion has a fairly broad description because it includes many points of interest, but the key highlight is the “most dangerous train in the world,” which passes right through market stalls. Vendors literally set up on the tracks, and only at the sound of a gong do they rapidly clear their goods to make way for the train.

Market on the tracks

Reviews of “Thai Express” are generally positive because it really is worth seeing. The thrill lies in the fact that the train isn’t running for tourists, but rather on its actual schedule.

The excursion costs 3,300 baht.

Natural Thailand

In 2025, the “Natural Thailand” excursion launched as the main alternative to the River Kwai trip for tourists who don’t like long distances.

Most of this excursion program takes place in the Khao Yai Reserve and its surroundings.

Tourists will raft down the river (you should bring swimwear), and visit several interesting places, including:

  • thermal springs;
  • Siam Park;
  • an alpine town.

Additionally, participants can ride elephants.

The excursion costs 4,200 baht.

Golden Triangle

The most fascinating excursion, according to many tourists, is undoubtedly the “Golden Triangle.” This trip includes visiting three countries: Laos, Burma, and Myanmar, as well as northern Thailand. Bad news for those who hate flying: The Golden Triangle involves traveling on domestic flights (hence the high price).

White Temple

This excursion lasts two days and one night, including several famous sights, such as the White Temple, the Shwedagon Pagoda, and much more.

A English-speaking guide will share intriguing insights into the history of these countries, so if you can afford it, definitely go on this excursion.

It’s available in low season as well.

The excursion costs 14,000 baht.

City Tour

An inexpensive leisure option is a city tour of Pattaya. In a single day, you can thoroughly explore the city and all its main attractions.

The main rule: Don’t buy a city tour from your hotel guide; otherwise, you’ll spend most of your time visiting shops and the “best” souvenir stores. It’s better to purchase from a street agency, ensuring you get a proper tour of the city.

Price: 1,200 baht per adult, 700 baht per child.

The excursion costs 4,200 baht.

And so, Pattaya offers countless excursions that simply can’t be listed in one article. Choose your tours wisely so you won’t be bored.
