When you arrive at the seaside, you don’t just want to lazily lie on the beach—you also want to get a lot of positive emotions, and perhaps ride some water slides. For those who enjoy this kind of recreation, there is the Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya, considered the largest water park in Thailand.
General Information
The water park in Pattaya opened relatively recently, in 2016, and it is the largest water entertainment park not only in Thailand but in all of Southeast Asia, spanning 18 hectares. It includes about 50 water slides for adults and children, several massage parlors, a spa, and a lot more we will describe in order.
Within the park’s grounds, you can do more than just lie on a deck chair or ride the slides—you can also visit several interesting places, including:
- a floating market;
- an ancient building;
- a lake;
- a pavilion with elephants.
The park is so large that some people don’t have enough time during operating hours to explore it thoroughly, so they come again and again…
The resident overseeing the construction of the Ramayana water park was the Canadian company WhiteWater West, which has built many slides and knows a lot about quality and thrills.
Water Attractions
Pattaya’s Ramayana Water Park (Ramayana Waterpark) features about 20 different slides, many of which are not found in any other water park in Asia, including:
- “Boomerang” (reminiscent of a skateboarding-style slide, except you’re on an inflatable tube instead of a skateboard).
- “AquaLoop” (they lock you in a transparent capsule and drop you with free-fall acceleration, completing a 360-degree loop on the way down).
- “Free Fall” (similar to the previous slide, but it’s a straight drop without turns).
- “Duelling Aqua Coaster” (a huge, extended slide where you can race your friends to see who goes faster).
- “Python and Anaconda” (an enclosed slide designed for a large tubing raft, similar to rafting).
- “Mat Racer” (In some countries, this attraction is known as “Kamikaze,” as you ride headfirst on a special mat).
- “Spiral” (a standard partially enclosed slide for one person).
- “Serpentine” (a slightly more winding slide, similar to the previous one).
- “River” (a calmer descent that merges into the lazy river).
In addition to these, the water park has several other slides that are generally similar to each other, differing only in their curves.
Infrastructure
Because the water park is relatively new, its appearance is excellent compared to some other parks built a few decades ago. The finishes look fresh, and it’s pleasant to be here.
Guests can enjoy:
- A wave pool (about 160 meters long).
- A lazy river (this attraction has become a trademark of many water parks, where you can simply lie on a tube and let the water carry you where you need to go. It’s 600 meters long, with caves, ruined structures, and many other interesting things along the way—just don’t get too relaxed).
- A water bar (an interesting concept: you can order your favorite cocktail without leaving the water and sip it slowly at a table in the middle of the pool).
- A pool for water sports (if you have a team, you can play water polo).
- An area for the smallest visitors (Little kids can play here without fear of swallowing water. Small slides, fountains, and warm water will delight children).
- Thai boxing over water (an improvised Thai boxing match in protective gear on a special beam over a pool).
In addition, a special children’s attraction for older kids deserves mention. It has water cannons, slides, and even a giant bucket that douses visitors with water power every five minutes.
Most importantly—do not leave your children unattended!
On Land
When you get tired of the water attractions (which is unlikely), you can walk around the park grounds and see what else the organizers have prepared for tourists. They really managed to build a city within a city that is worth exploring.

A detailed map of the water park
So, Ramayana offers:
- A floating market (naturally, the prices here differ from those outside the water park, and the selection is, to put it mildly, incomplete).
- Ruins on a lake (on an improvised island in the middle of the lake there are ruins of an ancient structure, which kids will definitely enjoy. The main thing is, do not swim in the lake—the water there is not as clean as in the pools).
- A maze (created from live shrubs; the main thing is not to get lost).

The Lake
And for the bravest and most fun-loving, the park has animation and you can dance to upbeat tunes.
The attractions listed are by no means exhaustive. For more details, visit the
official website.
Relaxation
Of course, you won’t be standing the whole time in the park—there are special loungers for guests (all fairly standard). Next to each lounger, there is a special button to call a waiter, which significantly simplifies communication between the staff and visitors. No need to wait in line to buy something refreshing or get food.
If you prefer more private relaxation, you can rent a pavilion for an additional fee (from 700 baht to 2,000 baht, depending on the number of people). Plus, for just 300 baht, you can upgrade the service in the pavilion to VIP class (they will draw the curtains, turn on a fan, and offer several additional perks). Also, for VIP pavilion holders, towels are free (otherwise, they cost 100 baht).
If you love taking photos and recording videos, you’ll have a field day here—the scenery is excellent. Just don’t drop your camera or phone in the water.

Times of Various Activities in the Park
By the way, the main downside of Ramayana is the large number of tourists (it’s been overly hyped).
Café
The park has one restaurant that somewhat resembles a cafeteria, but that’s all right—the main thing is that prices are acceptable and the food tastes good (for VIP guests, you can order food right to your pavilion without leaving it).

Prices for some dishes offered by the restaurant:
- Tom Kha Gai soup – 160 baht;

Rules of Conduct
Naturally, to visit the water park, you must follow certain rules, which are posted in English on-site. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with them on our website before visiting Ramayana on your own.
Prohibited:
- Being on the water attractions while intoxicated;
- Riding the water slides wearing jewelry, hairpins, or other personal items;
- Going on the attractions in swimsuits with hanging elements;
- Using the slides in regular clothing;
- Bringing audio, photo, or video equipment onto the slides.
Some slides do not allow pregnant women and people with musculoskeletal disorders, heart diseases, or certain psychiatric or neurological conditions (if they are in an acute stage).
And the most important point: people under 122 cm tall are not allowed on adult attractions.
How to Get There
Address of the water park: Ramayana is located near the Silverlake Vineyards; see the detailed map below.
If you plan to travel independently, we recommend using the transfer service provided by the water park, which costs only 120 baht per person (when booking a group transfer). Thus, for 240 baht, they will pick you up directly from your hotel and bring you back (the only catch is that you can’t use the transfer separately without purchasing a ticket).
If you don’t like the group transfer option, you can hire a car (with four seats) for 1,200 baht (round trip), and if you have a larger group, the water park offers an individual transfer by minibus for 1,800 baht round trip (maximum 13 people).
Reviews for this option are generally good, but you need to book in advance—at least two hours before departure, or better yet a day before.
You can also get to Ramayana by your own transport or by taxi, though a taxi will cost about the same as the individual transfer from the park, but that’s a minor detail.
Finally, the third option is to book a tour through any travel agency. The cost is about the same as if you booked directly through the park.
We recommend using the online ticket booking service—you’ll save time, and you won’t have to worry whether the transfer will arrive. The link to the reservation page is below.

It’s impossible to reach Ramayana by public transport, because it simply doesn’t go there.
The park opens at 10 AM and closes at 6 PM (for comparison, Cartoon Network Amazone water park in Pattaya is open until 7 PM, but the tickets there are more expensive).
There are four ticket options (full day or half day, with lunch or without).
Ticket prices:
- Adult – 1190 baht
- Child – 890 baht
- Pregnant women, disabled persons, and those over 60 years of age – 590 baht
- Children under 90 cm and people in wheelchairs are free.

Height Chart Before Entering the Park
Ticket prices with one-way transfer:
- From 9:30 AM to 5 PM without lunch – adult 1200 baht, child 990 baht;
- From 9:30 AM to 5 PM with lunch – adult 1450 baht, child 1250 baht;

Operating hours are from 10 AM to 6 PM.
So, Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya is considered one of the best parks in Thailand, if you believe the reviews posted online. Personally, we give it the top spot.
